Where art thou, ankles?

First tooth, first steps, first solid food - there are many "firsts" with having a baby but one first has continued to allude us. His first ankle(s). Sam currently has cankles (a cross between calf and ankles). He has no ankles to speak of, his little calf just simply runs into his foot. Having recently been pregnant, I can relate to this dilemma. I'm not sure when the highly-sought after ankle appears but when it does, I will proudly announce to all of you that "Sam has his first ankle!"
