Wow, things have been quite crazy. We are all adjusting to life with (another!) newborn. Ella is a joy, sleeping more than Sam ever did and provides us with endless coo's and little smiles. Sam is pretty excited about his sister 80% of the time. Most of the time he wants to hold "Baby Ella" or give kisses or turn her swing up to full blast to make sure she is getting the full movement. The other 20% he politely asks me to put "Ella down." He discovered the other day that Ella is the perfect size to try and jump over - yikes! We are trying to redirect that excitement to jumping over objects that can't get internal injuries.
Speaking of best friends, Sam BFF, Lily, move away this week. Her Dad was offered a position in Germany and they couldn't pass it up. Sam hung out with Lily at least three times a week and it was really hard to say goodbye. Sam doesn't really understand where Lily went, but when we talk about her, he simply says "Lily plane." I figure it's best to keep it simple.
Lily's mom, Nicole made this awesome video for us. Everytime I watch it, I tear up. We will miss you Lily!!
