Team Nursery

You might think that in order to prepare a nursery you need just a few important items - crib, chair and changing table. In my case, this process is much more involved and requires a team of trained professionals to get the job done. Let me introduce you to "Team Nursery".

Amanda - My interior designer/architect cousin who has the creativity and mind of a ninja. She quickly looks at a space and starts spewing out ideas that would blow your mind. She's a painter, woodworking and a sandblaster all wrapped up in a tiny little package. On the weekends you can usually find her working on her own home, designing retail stores for Columbia Sportswear or hanging out on her sweet deck with a frothy Coors Light in hand.

Melissa - Also known as the 'wise one'. Melissa can objectively look at just about anything and say yes or no confidently. I value her opinion greatly and trust her fantastic style. She has an eye for fashion and interiors and, as a side note, can probably name just about every song on the radio. During the day you can find her dutifully studying for exams and by night dancing the night away.

We had our first meeting last week and have begun to outline deliverables, deadlines and cost projections. Of course, we get totally side tracked most of the time and start discussing celebrity gossip or plans for the weekend. We have a few weeks to get everything together, hopefully it's enough time.
