He's 4, and don't you forgot it.

Sam turned 4 yesterday and he hasn't let us, or anyone that he has come into contact with, forget it. From the moment we started the birthday countdown, he has patiently asked each morning, "Is today my birthday?" Understanding the calendar and days of the week is so hard for a preschooler but finally, the day arrived and for the last 24 hours he has talked only of his birthday and the fact that his is now 4 YEARS OLD! And suddenly, he has embraced new tasks with gusto. Getting dressed in the morning is suddenly easier because, as he eloquently puts it, "Mom, I'm 4 now. I can do this all by myself." Well, hello mister independent!

Our sweet little guy is stubborn, sweet, outgoing, inquisitive and loved more than he could ever know.
